Amanda Barnoski

Special FX Makeup Artist, Stylist, Beauty Makeup Artist

 

I didn't always dream of becoming a makeup artist or hairstylist...it was actually never one of my dreams. I grew up thinking I was going to be a world famous fashion designer, but boy do things change. In high school I watched FaceOff for the first time and fell in love with the special fx world. From there I worked at Forsaken Haunted House in Mentor, OH and fell in even more love with things like set design and theater makeup. I dipped my hands in both of those and it's been history ever since.

I attended Brown Aveda Institute in Mentor and received my certification as a managing cosmetologist. While attending the BAI I was involved in numerous competitions and shows. I won first place in Fantasy Art Makeup and fourth in Fantasy Hair at the Ohio Association of Beauticians Show in 2012. I also received recognition as a "Best of Show" artist at the RAW art show in Cleveland, OH in 2013. I have been apart of many different short as well as full length films and film contests.
